Magic Hat'venture

Introduction

This is my very first game using Game Maker Studio 2. It's an early stage of prototyping the game and may be full of bugs and unoptimized.

I'm still learning how to develop a game but with the help of Shaun Spalding's tutorials series to make a Platformer game, I've been able to make a solid structure to start my own game.

Description

The game is about a little mage which needs to retrieve magical hats lost in a magical world filled with monsters and deadly traps. After finding a magical hat, the little mage can use its magical powers to explore the world, solve little puzzles and protect from hostile environments.

The temporary name for this game is "Little Mage Adventure" but it should end being named "Magic Hat'venture".

Controls

• Move left : A or Q or  left on the left pad
• Move right : D or right on the left pad
• Climb on ladder :  Z or  W  to climp up,  S to climp down, or up/down on the left pad
• Jump / leave a ladder : space or gamepad A or X button
• Passing through platforms :   S  for half a second, or down on the left pad
• Aiming : mouse or right pad
• Shoot : left mouse button or gamepad right trigger
• Action : right mouse button or gamepad B or O button
• Hats wheel : shift or gamepad left trigger
• Debug dialog : home (type help to see available commands)
